Recently, a group of Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School students along with some Yachad members performed the annual Yachad Play. This year's show was Beauty and the Beast. Starting in February, we met weekly to practice the lines, songs, and dances. Finally as Tuesday night approached everyone couldn't wait to show what we had been working on for weeks. As face paint and crowns were given out and the auditorium filled, we could not wait for the show to start. Before we began, we sang along to Yerushalayim Shel Zahav played on piano by Chavy, one of the Yachad members. We then went on stage and the show began. The audience cheered as everyone said their lines and when it was over everyone took their bows. We again accompanied Chavy, in the Hatikvah, and finished the night. As everyone walked off stage you could see the huge smiles on their faces of hard work paid off! Yachad Play practice was always the highlight of our week, and the night of the show was even better.
