Flatbush Falcons Girls' Basketball Moves to 2-0 on the Season

The Falcons break down the Heat defense
Taking to the road for the second straight time to start the season, the female Falcon hoopsters took down their counterparts from Heschel 57-33 Monday night (11/4/13). After a slow start that saw the Falcons trailing the Heat at the 1st quarter break, Head Coach Rozan Mizrahi gathered her troops, altered the game plan and the entire complexion of the game changed. With the start of quarter 2, the Falcons came out in a press, began to turn over the Heat and methodically built a lead they would never relinquish. The third quarter was the difference maker, as the Falcon press wore down their opponents and the Flatbush girls stretched their lead. As a result, Coach Mizrahi was able to utilize her full roster, with nearly every player scoring. When the buzzer finally sounded to end the game, the Falcons had amassed 57 points to Heschel’s 33.

Nest Notes: The Flacon Girls took the court sporting new uniforms, short-sleeve jerseys and team shooting shirts. The players commented on the difference the comfort the jerseys made during competition, as well as how warm the shooting shirts kept them before the game and while on the bench. The Falcon girls are back in action on Thursday night as they travel to Great Neck, NY to take on North Shore Hebrew Academy in a JV/Varsity doubleheader.
