Open House 2013/5774

On Sunday, October 27th, 2013 Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School held its annual Open House. Eighth graders from different Yeshivas across the metropolitan area attended the event and were able to see the amazing opportunities Flatbush has to offer.

Many current Flatbush students and teachers came early to help set up and volunteer throughout the day. Eighth graders along with their parents were greeted by current students and parent ambassadors and signed in on iPads. They then enjoyed some refreshments before they had the opportunity to hear from administrators and teachers about the latest innovations inside and outside of the classroom that are happening at Flatbush. They then enjoyed watching our "Yeshivah of Flatbush is For Me" video, created by student Victor Dweck, before heading upstairs for two mini-lessons to learn about the rigorous academic program in both Judaic and Secular Studies. A question and answer session with administrators, parents, and students followed. The day ended with a great commission fair in the gym highlighting the numerous extracurricular activities Flatbush students take part in. Eight graders and their parents had the opportunity to experience the academic, extracurricular, and all the other great aspects of Flatbush.
