Students Learn about Watersheds at Monmouth University

On May 13, 2014, twenty-two Yeshivah of Flatbush students traveled to Deal, New Jersey to study about watersheds at Monmouth University. We studied about the different types of creeks and how important it is to preserve the waterways that eventually lead to the ocean.

After our lesson on watersheds we then went to observe a creek on the outskirts of the university. We observed the characteristics of the creek and a student even got stuck in the creek's mud. We then traveled to another creek and all students got the opportunity to test the water's pH level. The trip was an amazing ecological experience and gave a great perspective about how complex natures's waterways work. ~David Feintuch
