Freshmen Girl Vision Mapping with Mrs. Alice Chera

There are many things that go into creating a meaningful and satisfying life. Two foundational elements are 1) self-knowledge and 2) goal setting.

This February the Yeshivah of Flatbush Freshmen girls had an opportunity to explore their own unique values, interests, and skill sets along with their professional goals in a two part Vision Mapping series, given by Life and Career coach, Mrs. Alice Chera.
A Vision Map is a collage made from images and phrases cut from magazines which represent everything you want to BE, DO and HAVE in your life. It is a visual reminder of who you are and what’s important to you. Creating a Vision Map serves a dual purpose. It is a tool to unlock hidden talents and potential as well as a fun and creative way to gain clarity, focus and direction for one’s goals.
The girls had a great time presenting their boards to the class and proudly owning their interests and individuality. They also became excited about how they could translate their personal values, skills and assets into a rewarding career or business opportunity.
