Pathfinders Update: Students Learn About The Business Behind Crocheting Necklaces

Recently, Yeshivah of Flatbush students had the opportunity to meet with Rachel Erani (HS '13) who discussed how she started her own fashion business. Rachel introduced her choker company, @chokra_crochet_chokers, which she founded on her own originally as a side job and eventually escalated to become her full-time business. She spoke about how interested people quickly became in her custom made chokers, and how her company especially became known through her comedic posts on social media. She even added that her colleagues in the business school at her university (Rachel attends UPenn) were extremely impressed with the business tactics she used. Lastly, Rachel discussed all of the benefits and challenges of balancing a freelance business while attending a highly academic college. Most importantly, Rachel emphasized that success comes with experience, and that while we may fail at times, we will always prosper as long as we work hard and are passionate about what we are doing. ~Nancy Mizrahi, Pathfinders Assistant
